The picture 1, 2 and 3 are the same wall from different angles; it's like 30cm away from the colorbond shed next door. The builder wants to fix a metal flashing from the wall to the shed so you won't see the gap and brick wall. When the wrong bricks are used, usually the brickies demolish and rebuild. Not that uncommon. The brick work is not structural if in Victoria. Fast work to demolish and can be done very precisely these days with an arbourteck mortar saw. I would be expecting replacement. The wall shouldn't leak. All brick work absorbs water that is what the gap is for between the wall and the frame.
