I went through the same process some months ago and the advise I received from a contractor was to install the cabling for the internal hardware. They advised whilst they are moving to new hardware that does not require the additional cabling, there is still sock of the internal hardware. Thanks Shane

What is the footprint (diameter) of each tank? I ask as with the smaller Poly tank being 1m lower, could the water levels already be level? Is there any additional plumbing that may prevent the water flowing as you are trying to achieve? eg. one-way valves.

Hi Homemaker, As per my previous post in the thread, we found the first home owner accounts very beneficial to guiding us and assisting us in our savings. The government will contribute 17% annually to contributions up to a total annual contribution somewhere around $1000. It changes annually. Worth...

I'd agree that its the sewer vent pipe that will eventually extend up the wall and through the roof. Most new builds these days conceal this vent pipe in the wall where as older houses have them external to the house. Shane

Some additional information. My builder is advising that the plans are only indicative and do not accurately show finished locations. The statement in which I sign on the plan states that the plans are true and accurate. Am I correct in saying that if the build does not match the plans, I have every...

Both my partner and I had one of these accounts and we each contributed an amount to receive the maximum from the government. We also received bank interest on the account. Over the four year period, the combined savings was in excess of $50,000. A great incentive if you can wait the four financial ...

Hello all, My plans show the FTTH OTN box as being installed directly below the electricity meter box. My builder has ran the cables from the hub to a location offset from the meter box. They are telling me that this is due to minimum clearances of power wires to the gas meter. I find this hard to a...

Hello, maybe too late but did you get a price from your builder? I spent a lot of time getting quotes (both face to face and online) prior to our colour selection. At colour selection, I thought I would for comparison get a price on the builder to install blinds. I was very surprised and happy to sa...
