I have a mobile - but if someone asks me to ring their landline I do. Maybe I'm the one out here - ie listening to my customer ... I can't see how there could be a 2 week delay because of a phone call. If I say ring me on this Number and I'm there - then I answer. I deliberately don't take the mobile with me at times - I find it rude to interupt meetings, discussions with a ringing mobile. But, that's me I guess. Re: Telephones - Mobile and Land Lines ? 20Dec 04, 2012 8:30 am Saint Mike I deliberately don't take the mobile with me at times - I find it rude to interupt meetings, discussions with a ringing mobile. But, that's me I guess. Well that's a whole different discussion. I don't think anyone is saying that because the use of mobiles is more common and frequent, that it is OK to use them blatantly and without regard for the situation you are in (whether it be a meeting, having dinner, or on the train). You can turn them down/off when it isn't appropriate to take calls. But I didn't think that was the point in question. Of course there is some shocking etiquette out there when it comes to using mobile phones. I carry my mobile with me most of the time - but it is turned down (silent) at work and I don't take/return calls during work unless it is urgent. I would never use it at the dinner table or when in a conversation with people - and certain other times at my discretion. Just because I have it on me doesn't mean I have to use it. You call it bad customer service, but when it comes to the building industry, I'd say it's good service that you are getting the call to begin with - at least they are communication and/or returning calls. That can only be a good thing when it comes to tradies etc. I nearly died yesterday when I actually received a quote when they said I would (mind you, after one call to remind them). You might not like it, but you might have to learn to live with it - or not HHCIB 2 6226 I'm based in Adelaide and I'm considering purchasing a house and land package from Weeks Homes. I found a deal that looks good, but there's a complication: the land isn't… 0 667 Yeah I don't know why I came to a forum. Place is full of wierdos/pedos thought internet may help but I suppose I'll try my luck with someone in person. Cheers. I tried… 0 6791 |
