But this included a roof plan, site plan 1:200 and i provided a couple of section drawings. Also proposed material's used is what they will be after. We are playing with the Brimbank Council, who have been known to be lazy. So we should be right. Did you attempt to get a quote done? We are thinking of calling in a carpenter for the pergola piece and then doing the rest ourselves. Re: Backyard Thread - Pergola Up! 71Nov 19, 2012 10:12 am Nice job! What colour is? Excellent design. not 100% sure of the render colour against the merbau, but it has come up nice. we still need to paint everything, looks for some neutral colours. probably run with some creams and browns, similar to what we have done inside. Re: Backyard Thread - Pergola Up! 78Nov 19, 2012 9:38 pm Wow you've done an amazing job very inspiring as we are about to embark on outdoor reno's and we trying to figure out if we build our pergola to the boundary and would love the thought of covering our ugly fence. Can't wait to see more photos. Re: Backyard Thread - Pergola Up! 79Dec 10, 2012 2:29 pm more pics ! deck frame 90% complete. just need to apply some brackets to keep the joists off the floor. Can anyone suggest a cheaper option than the standard brackets? they are quite $$$ and im not keen on spending $300 on brackets. I currently have 7 lengths of 1.8m 32x32x3 steel angle which im looking at cutting and drilling for supports... fair bit of time and work involved here so im looking for an alternative before i cut them up. for my front deck i used plastic packers and because i had the 90x35 on flat, i was able to dynabolt+screw fix the deck timber in to the same joist... have a little bit of an issue at the back because my joist are now on edge.. any suggestions would be great! im cutting them tomorrow night otherwise!!! Managed to get one of the screen walls up myself on the weekend too... bloody takes time doing these things solo ! I found the actual pryda stirrups do a better job. I used a L angle of steel to do 1 after bunnings ran out of pryda and it creeks. i think option 2 is much better with easy access to the garden without having to walk through the new sunroom which makes it a better room for guests and TV .a simple… 2 8625 interesting situation what happened after builder issued final invoice? did you list as defect or not does the building surveyor have any responsibility? ie. issuing… 13 47388 Building Standards; Getting It Right!
