I know what you are saying, I'm actually going to head out to HT to look at all the mortar colours and also to the brick place to see it on a display board and talk to the experts about what they suggest My karma ran over your dogma Re: Mortar questions 22Aug 15, 2008 3:27 pm haywgl Ohh no Toni - why do you have to reselect the laundry tile? They might even have some pics for you too. Oh as for the tile, you know how they deleted urban cloud/earth. Well we had our earth allocated to us so that was okay for the ensuite and powder room. Unfortunately they didn't have any cloud for us so we had to pick again. Decided on the new Banur Earth for replacement - kids bathroom, toilet and laundry. We got to use the big playroom at Playgroup for the first time a few weeks ago and guess what, they had a wall of Mushroom Linea cupboards in there. On Wednesday I took my Banur Earth in to have a look with the M.L and it looks bl**dy awful. I rang NT today and they told me to come in and pick another one. So I'll have to go tomorrow. Steve is at a conference all day so the kids can come and help me choose! I'm over it really. Any advice on a tile for Mushroom Linea (same as what Phoenix has in her Laundry) remembering that the powder room is nearby and will have Urban Earth.....oh why couldn't they find a little bit more Urban Earth for the Laundry? Happy at Home Re: Mortar questions 23Aug 15, 2008 3:28 pm haywgl I think that will look great Rachelle When you say natural mortar, do you mean the yellow or the grey? oh with PD - Natural is the grey (what we are having) Happy at Home Re: Mortar questions 24Aug 15, 2008 3:29 pm Ooo thats a tough one....
I was actually thinking of putting mushroom linea in my laundry - with my Kimberly Lime floor tile. I only have the smaller sample of the floor tile, but when I held it up to my larger sample of Mushroom Linea, I thought it looked fine My karma ran over your dogma Re: Mortar questions 25Aug 15, 2008 3:37 pm haywgl Ooo thats a tough one.... Will look tomorrow Happy at Home Re: Mortar questions 26Aug 15, 2008 3:38 pm I know the bricks are different colour but the advice sounds good! I prefer off-white for that brick myself.
http://www.pghpavers.com.au/PGH/Content ... age023.gif and this on the finish http://www.pghpavers.com.au/PGH/Content ... age025.jpg you need to look closely for the finish, they should have a darker background to make it easier. Happy at Home Re: Mortar questions 27Aug 15, 2008 4:12 pm Try this, it gives you some idea. Hope I'm right in remembering that the bricks are Boral Coco!
http://www.boral.com.au/brick_selector/ ... der_Bricks Vic/Nuvo/View all range - then click on Coco and you will be able to see the different mortar when you click on it. It seems the yellowy mortar is called Buff. Happy at Home Re: Mortar questions 28Aug 15, 2008 6:45 pm Thanks for going to all that trouble Toni - your a gem!
I think I might stick with the white - I'll try and find a house with the grey mortar just to see if the $1000 upgrade is worth it Hopefully the kimberley lime works out My karma ran over your dogma Re: Mortar questions 29Aug 16, 2008 11:01 am haywgl I think that will look great Rachelle When you say natural mortar, do you mean the yellow or the grey?
