Hi
I am having issues with the layout of our house for what we want. I have attached a very rough drawing. It is by no means to scale but the outline of the plan and size of many of the rooms comes from the builder's brochure. Sorry it is such poor quality.

The things I am struggling with are:
- the layout of the ensuite: I'm sure there is a better way to do it. I want the wet room near to the side entrance (not sure if this will be double or single) because I like the thought of being able to come in from outside dirty and jump straight in the shower, I like the bath to be near a window as well for light. I would like the basin and counter to be located so that while one is getting ready the other can be in bed and chat but not sure how to do this and position the WC.
- the layout of the rest of the Master Suite: It looks huge, I know. We want a double door entry, we want a retreat (which will actually be a nursery when we eventually have kids) and we definitely want a large-ish dressing room. We also want access out to the front verandah but perhaps through the entry is enough? The dressing room access doesn't have to come off the ensuite.
- the fourth bedroom: we were thinking of switching this with the family bath and toilet so that visitors can come staight from the meals/living area into the toilet without having to pass kids bedrooms. The other issue is that we don't really need a fourth bedroom so not sure what to do with this space (perhaps activity room?) but for re-sale it will be good to have.
- A store off the garage: not essential I guess but we would like to have one to avoid having a shed out the back. Just not sure where to put it. This plan is only 15.45m wide and our block is 18m wide. I would like to have a good amount of space though for side access, probably along the master suite side and we can apply to put the garage wall on the boundary. How wide does a store need to be practically?
- The office/library: I like the double entry but at the same time I am wondering if we shouldn't have a single entry somewhere to allow more wall space in both the living and the office, or perhaps two single entries (one at each end). I am also wondering if we should make one of the windows a double entry to the alfresco. I love the thought of a window seat so I would like one big window looking out. This room does need to be multipurpose though I think.
I also welcome any other ideas or advice about our layout. This is our forever home as far as we are concerned so I want the layout to be as close to perfect as possible, as hard as that may be.
TIA
