Re: Things you forget 438Mar 27, 2012 3:05 pm take2 Power point in your kitchen island bench, glad I remembered it gets used all the time. Batterns in the ceiling for ceiling fans and heavy pendant lighting. Cheers Lou great idea but if you had a flat bench without a return to hide it - where would you put it Re: Things you forget - summary page 20 439Mar 27, 2012 8:05 pm One thing we have just realized is with our fridge space which is in the pantry our fridge door opens the wrong way! So you will have to be in the pantry to get anything out of the fridge and not just simply open the door and put it straight on the bench I know you can get fridges with doors that open both ways, or french doors, and luckily our fridge is 12 years old so we will need a new one sooner or later, so note to self when building a plan that hides the fridge in the pantry make sure your fridge door opens the right way! Our floor plans are in my blog if that doesn't make sense. http://metriconcedar32.blogspot.com.au/ My building blog is here: http://metriconcedar32.blogspot.com.au Re: Things you forget - summary page 20 440Mar 28, 2012 5:09 am Don't forget to put a light & exhaust fan in the pantry( if it's a walkin) if there is no window. Also, a light in the roof cavity incase you ever need to get in there. Another one is if you have any storage area under the stairs, it's very handy to have a light in there as well. Depends what you're current inclusions are, but we're not including wardrobes and will just use second hand ones until we can save later on to get them built.
