Just about to paint my whole house and am having major difficulities choosing my paint colours, even with the help of a Dulux colour consultation!
We have a huge family/kitchen room that is north-facing, with extremely high cathedral ceilings. The room has textured slate tiles that are a warm green colour. I want the whole house to feel harmonious, so want to bring similar watered down versions of the colour/s into my south-facing bedrooms etc.
My original plan was the following:
Family/kitchen (north-facing) - Dulux Oyster Linen on wood panelling and dado (almost exact match of slate tiles), Dulux White Duck Half on walls, trims, doors and Whisper White on ceiling.
Bedrooms/hall etc (south-facing) - Dulux Whisper White on walls (Dulux White Duck Quarter looked too cream), Lexicon Quarter on trims, doors and ceiling, with a couple of feature walls (main bed and hallway) in Oyster Linen, to bring it altogehter.
HOWEVER, after numerous testing pots, the White Duck seems a lot warmer on my walls than I thought (I love cool colours but understand they need to match my warm green slate tiles) and the Oyster Linen looks a bit muddy/brown in my bedroom and hall feature walls and also at night in the family room.
SOOOO, are there any green/grey Dulux (or other brand) colours that I can use that are a little cooler instead to replace both Oyster Linen and White Duck? Colours like Beige Royal, Sandy Day and Hog Bristle are far too warm for me, but I am not after blues or greens, more grey with green undertones.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!
