I do like the laundry tucked away behind the kitchen. I've not seen a garage enter via the laundry before though. I would want to avoid traffic through my laundry, but that'd probably because I'm a slob and my laundry is a bombsite most of the time Is that a sliding door in the family area into the back yard? What are your plans for the living area off the main entry? Looking forward to following the build. It will be exciting to follow your build thread as it looks like you are a few weeks ahead of us as we are yet to choose our colours. So we will be able to see what is next for us!! Good Luck Re: Our Urbis -JG king homes 6May 04, 2011 9:08 pm Hi guys, sorry for the late reply its been a pretty busy week! we love the fact the garage door is through the laundry, its hidden away but still in a easy to access spot! Plus its a great way to keep the laundry clean! The back door is at the back of the lounge, but we are planning on putting a big deck out the back, so we will have the inside and outside leaving areas joined, which should work pretty well i hope! We did look at moving the door to the dinning room but we didn't really have enough room down the side. How's your urbis build going? where are you upto? have you made any changes? our bricks have just started... ( i need to update my photo's badly... ) can't wait to hear all about your build, so excited that their is another urbis builder! Re: Our Urbis -JG king homes 7May 04, 2011 10:29 pm Hey there and welcome! Love the laundry off the kitchen, and the garage entry will mean grotty shoes and clothes can be left there, not dragged through the house my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: Our Urbis -JG king homes 8May 07, 2011 10:14 am We haven't started building yet, we are waiting for our land to settle while jg king draw up the plans. The main changes we made were adding a rear roller door to the garage to get access to the backyard, also we added another sliding door off the meals area and as our block is wide, we are going to build an L shaped deck from the meals around past the family sliding door. Have you made any changes? Re: Our Urbis -JG king homes 9May 07, 2011 2:17 pm tinkster you think exactly the way i do... it's such a good layout i just love how central everything is! I really like the idea of the 2 sliding doors- wish i had of thought of that!! Its going to look so good! We went out to the block and the bricks have started- we are sooo exciting! I'll post pics as soon as I find our camera cable! Building the urbis through jg king homes Re: Our Urbis -JG king homes 15May 22, 2011 8:03 pm hi naybo87 , i will drag them out and post them soon , mainly left all that to the missus , we didn't actually know that they now have the urbis on display at melton south so we went for a drive yesterday to have a look. we couldn't beleive how big that open area is (meals family kitchen etc). we were really happy with it and it justified our decision to go with the urbis , good to here you are at lock up , ours is going pretty slow , can i ask when you started ? Re: Our Urbis -JG king homes 16May 23, 2011 6:58 pm Oh really, maybe my hubby and I should go for a drive and have a look! Love looking at display homes.
