Our pool journey begins - pool being filled before xmas

Finally managed to get the bobcat in and the landscaping has started. Being on a sloping block it great to see all the different levels and zones, we have lots of space so we have banked large parts of the yard to plant on instead of using retaining wall, working with the slope instead of making in all flat.

We now have to wait for the cut sandstone to come from Heildon to retain the paving around the pool which will be a 2 tier paved area. I can finally order the fence as the levels are sorted so the custom panels can be made.

The path from the deck will curve around the rock garden.

We finally got a break in the rain, so the slope had dried out enough for the landscapers to get access to the back, and the cut sandstone block where finally delievered after rain delays out at Heilidon (near Gatton) cause a backlog of work. So after 3 weekends of trying we also were able to get the bobcat back to lay all the garden soil and mulch to stablise the slopes.

Looking down of the pool, I cant believe how green my nieghbours grass is they only layed it 3 weeks ago, the rain is good for somethings.

We are putting in two terraces, so we will have a sunkin sitting area where you will be able to sit on the side of the pool.

We have used sandstone offcuts as a garden edge.

Fingers crossed the fence will go in on Monday, and my house of cards only got wet and not washed away and the pool will be finished for Christmas.
