Re: Help anyone bought a 4 bedroom house on Eve estate. 8Nov 13, 2010 8:16 pm We bought a house and land package from Henley which is ready to move into. So we now on a time issue because Henley want our finance answer Tuesday. So we have gone with another bank and hear on Tuesday if the valuation came in good. Please keep your fingers crossed for me people.. This is our last chance or we lose the house!!! Re: Help anyone bought a 4 bedroom house on Eve estate. 9Nov 13, 2010 8:18 pm We also appealed the valuation and gave them facts and figures of the houses sold in that area. But they wouldn't budge. They valued it at 370,000 we payed 404,000 for it and they now selling in that area for 430,000.Land size is 448sq. There is a 3 bed, 1 garage house facing us for sale on smaller land that is selling for 364,00, so how they valued a 4 bedroom, double garage, bigger land at 370,000 god knows. Re: Help anyone bought a 4 bedroom house on Eve estate. 10Nov 14, 2010 12:17 am I can't help much with the valuation part, sorry, but can you ask Henley for an extension? The standard HIA contract requires finance information 30 days after signing the contract but you can get another 30 day extension by advising them. We did this (contract signed 28 Sept, absolute earliest we could get finance approved was 27 Oct due to genuine savings, but they knew this from the beginning), I just emailed my admin and told her we were requesting the 30 day extension as previously advised was available to us. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=37229 - our Iris 4! Cheers Cozmo ______________________________ Building a PD Heywood 29 http://fromevetoeternity.blogspot.com/ Re: Help anyone bought a 4 bedroom house on Eve estate. 13Nov 25, 2010 8:15 pm ives We lost the house after 5 and a half months of building. Should of moved in this week and now someone else is going to live in OUR house!! Well thats just Cr@p!! I know you must be disappointed ATM... but maybe is was not meant to be... look at this as an opportunity to rethink about what you really want in your life right now (it maybe to try to build again or go away on a big holiday.. what ever your heart desires)... and then go get. Good luck in the future ives Cheers Cozmo ______________________________ Building a PD Heywood 29 http://fromevetoeternity.blogspot.com/ Re: Help anyone bought a 4 bedroom house on Eve estate. 14Nov 29, 2010 2:27 pm Hi, really sorry to hear about your situation and out of curiosity, isn't the loan approved before you start building? I thought that the finance need to be approved for the house before we start building the house. Re: Help anyone bought a 4 bedroom house on Eve estate. 15Dec 02, 2010 10:45 am This is the stupidest thing I have every heard as being in the industry I have seen valuer issues but they crop up well before finance unconditional approval, not at settlement! For what it is worth, I have only read this for the first time now but I was contacted by a gentleman whom is an approved valuer and can get val's through in such cases for the banks but unfortunately it sounds too little too late.
