I think so Helyn. Our last house we had a 6x9m shed, it was my hubby's pride and joy. He'd quite often go missing, and I'd find him sitting in the shed reading the paper or what not lol.
We moved into this rental, and all the stuff we had in that huge shed has had to be squashed into the garage. We have a 4WD and with all that stuff plus a big trailer, the only way to get the car in there too is to get all the kids out first, and I only have the tiniest spot to get out of.
Alot of garages these days aren't big either. The house we are renting, our car only fits in height wise with literally an inch to spare, and our neighbours can't fit their car in because it's not long enough!! These are your standard double garages too!
We have made our new garage extra high, and extra long for storage, but we will still have a little garden shed out the back for lawnmower and stuff.
ETA: we only fit the car in there as my hubby is surprisingly neat when it comes to his man cave and managed to stack things to make lots of room, and there is heaps of stuff stored in the trailer too
