Hi,
I've been going through a new first floor extension.
They've just complete the subflooring, put of the new timber framing and roofing.
I've noticed that they haven't put up any tarps onto the new timber roof.
As such, we've had a few days of rain, and substantial amount of water damage.
1.) Water leaking from ceiling to floor (visible internally on the wall)
2.) Water leaking inside of the walls (as my dimmer is screwed and wet and my downlights flicker)
3.) Water marks on ceiling in kitchen, plaster starting to bubble very slightly
4.) Water leaking through downlights in kitchen and 2'nd bedroom.
I would like to know
1.) My rights to have the Extension company repair such damage.
2.) What I can ask of them to repair
3.) If sound insulation in between the subfloor is wet, should they also replace this?
Your advice would be VERY much appreciated. Friend recommended getting an independent surveyer in to assess.
