So does the pink curtains mean girl? Oh I bet it exciting going baby shopping! Sorry to hear about your crap week but the holiday sounds great! As for retaining walls we have been given some beautiful old sand stone from a friend so hopefully that takes some expense out of it as we have a fair bit. Masterton are doing driveway retaining walls to match house brick so this is one relief. I have sure enjoyed reading the blog and thread of your fun build! Your do lucky you're in though! Keep practicing on that bear Waylow. Loretta Thanks Loretta, we are loving the room and it's going to be a great and comfy place for me to be in aswell. There are a few other decorating ideas I have planned but some cannot be done until little peanut is born. I actually think he may have got the nappy thing down pat already. But then again, Bernie doesn't wriggle when getting his nappy changed . The curtains are actually beige and off-white, it's just really hard to get the colour right with the camera. But in saying that, I think you may be on the right track . Ooh, the old sandstone is going to be beautiful. I can't wait to see it. I wanted our blocks to be that light sandstoney colour but we are using our leftover bricks for the fencing and though that it would be too light altogether. I have been a little slack with our blog of late, and hope to post more often soon. Do you have a blog? Or are you thinking of starting one? I guess it's have if you just have your phone. I look forward to maybe seeing some pics in the future. Re: Our Prosperity in Spring Farm...pics from 27/07/2010 825Jul 27, 2010 10:47 am Thanks PrincessFee - I haven't got a blog yet no but might get around to doing one one day. They seem a lot of fun! I was just being lazy and get on my iphone at night cant be bothered turning on the computer lol as i'm on one all day at work.. plus i can sit in front of tele with it so its easier. Ohh so the curtains are beige! Lovely! A neutral colour nursery! Are you getting the gender tested?? Is this your first child? Oh so exciting. You know, we got married in March 09 as well how funny. So when is your due date?? I also love how you did the stripes on the walls in the nursery!! I LOVE dado walls and have always wanted them in a nursery one day. You'll have to tell me your tricks, or did it have somethng to do with DH's expertise?? I love your paint colour on walls too. We've chosen Bamboo cream which is quite similar I think! I love the neutrals too. Your retaining walls are looking great though well done. I suppose they werent higher than 600mm? Ours says if they are higher than that (i think one side is 700mm) we have to get a structural engineer! How fun (not!). 1st Tender - 20 March 2010 Slab - 14 August 2010 Frames - 31 August 2010 Roof - 11 September 2010 Bricks finished - 2 October 2010 Lock up - 15 October 2010 Keys - 10 December 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=41002 Re: Wisdom: Prosperity 24 in Spring Farm - Roof tiles starte 826Jul 27, 2010 11:20 am princessfee Okay, we got our tile quote and our kitchen plan yesterday. We were extremely excited to see what our kitchen is going to be like. We have only decided to make one change to it, so it should be easy for them to do. We also think that it is looking a little bare without overhead cupboards, but we have decided to do this at a later date. We have seen some really nice designs on that website I posted the other day, so we might go with some of them. As for our tile quote... OUCH!!! We weren't expecting that much. That's what you get for not being nervous about it. But the sad news is, I think that I may have to give up my niche tiles . I love them soooo much but they are costing way too much for such a little tile, but speaking of costs, paleese don't get Mark started on the extra labour costs. You'll never hear the end of it . Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Hey Fee, we are getting these tiles! Dont you love them. We were going to go silver lux but our colours similar to yours internally so went Avorio Lux. You and I definitely have the same taste!! This is hillarious. Also we're getting plantation shutters, roman blinds and chandeliers. Have you been to Beacon lighting? I fell in love.. 1st Tender - 20 March 2010 Slab - 14 August 2010 Frames - 31 August 2010 Roof - 11 September 2010 Bricks finished - 2 October 2010 Lock up - 15 October 2010 Keys - 10 December 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ours says if they are higher than that (i think one side is 700mm) we have to get a structural engineer! How fun (not!). Blogs are GREAT fun, but very time consuming. We are lucky here we are on laptops so we quite often are watching the TV at the same time... Don't you just love winter . Yep, they are certainly beige. If you haven't guessed already, I am a lover of the neutral colours, especially white, and not so much a fan of the bright colours (I tend to get over them quickly). We had our 20 week ultrasound the other week and the sono told us what we were having, I was convinced before she told us we were having a pink one, so it was no suprise. We will see soon enough. We are due on the 3rd/4th December. It keeps changing, and yes, she is our first. Ooh, March weddings are so beautiful. Best time of year in my opinion. Thanks, we weren't quite sure how the stripes would look as the curtains are stripey aswell, but they suit perfectly. I have to take the credit for the decorating and Mark can for the practical side of it. Mark knows all to do with the retaining walls. All I did was shovel some of those rocky things inside them but he is the brains behind it all. Will be looking forward to seeing your build soon, it sounds like I will be able to get some inspiration from your house in the near future. Oh I loved those tiles . But we didn't end up getting them as it was either them or the underfloor heating in the bathrooms... The heating won. I am glad it did now, but I am still waiting for my glass splashback in the shower niches from a certain someone. I never managed one of those & after two boys didn't want to risk a third one I would have loved a little girl. Now my boys are all grown up I might have to wait to have a pink grandchild one day!!! So you still haven't got your glass shower niches yet. . .well I guess he has been busy outside. I have been waiting to see what they look like so again. . . hurry up, chop, chop waylow! Hey Fee you will have to come for a visit to my house when you are on holidays, I'm home most of the time as I still haven't found another job yet. Just pm me. I don't think it went down too well! I can get the glass anytime, but its been to wet to paint it lately. Might wait till summer and try and get it done. Don't want to have to pay to hire a spray booth!
