Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Enterance Door ( Front Door) 12Jun 18, 2010 11:50 am Just wondering if it is possible to change a normal front door with sidelight to a wide front door with no sidelight? Would it be difficult? Any ideas on costs? This is exactly what we did, although we had two sidelights removed. We managed to upgrade to a much fancier door and didn't get charged a cent for it because it was almost equivalent to the cost of the smaller door + sidelights. If anything, the builder won that one, we just didn't care because it was nice to not have to pay them more money for a change ![]() Re: Enterance Door ( Front Door) 13Jun 18, 2010 1:43 pm somewomanJust wondering if it is possible to change a normal front door with sidelight to a wide front door with no sidelight? We moved in a month ago, and the day we moved in had the feeling of "damn, knew i forgot something". Hoping its not too big a job to get changed over now... Re: Enterance Door ( Front Door) 14Jun 18, 2010 5:39 pm I did pick this exact door, but I was going to change it to the xs26 just not sure but I will also have the Translucent glass, how does your door look? Why made you choose the sx24? and does it let We choose the XS24 as it was not as busy looking as the XS26 4 glass panels compare to 6. It is purely a personal choice as I like the proportions better. The XS26 is lovely as well. We don't have the door on as yet it should go on in the next few weeks. We are nearly at lockup if the good weather holds in Sydney for a few more days. Michelle Thanks for your reply. The builder has made the border frame above the door a bit thicker. So it looks visually level now 8 36004 Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Sounds like 1200mm is the way to go. 3 137059 Hi mate, we’re going to be another couple of years before we end up building as decided to wait and travels around Oz in our caravan, so sorry can’t you really help… 11 104203 |
