Another contrasting colour for the cabinetry. -Splashback: should we have a window that that is maybe 2.5 m long and 1m high, which will be like a frame, surrounded by cabinets? or should we just have splash back, and a window somwhere else. even though it sounds like every thing is set.. we just can't put it together to see if it will work or not.. We would really appreciate it if you can help. Thanks again Ibb Re: Need a kitchen drawn up? 153Jun 14, 2010 8:28 pm Hi there WOW. Your designs are really amazing. If only l knew about you earlier. l was wondering whether you could suggest some ideas for our kitchen. The builders have just finished our kitchen and we are looking at getting overhead cupboards put in after handover. Though we are completely confused as to what we should get. l have posted a pic for you to see. Hope you can work off this Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The issue that we have is that our overhead cupboards will not be even on both sides because of our rangehood. l wanted something ultra modern and completely different. My kitchen details ceiling height 2590mm pantry/fridge wall oyster linea bottom cupboards Licorice linea Benchtops will be change to 40mm waterfall snow caesarstone after handover. Do you think its a good idea to get bulkheads for the overhead cupboards? Should l get a bulkhead for the rangehood as well? What colour splashback would you recommend? What colour overheads would you recommend? Hopefully you can help thanks Handover date 3rd August 2010 WOOHOO!!! Re: Need a kitchen drawn up? 155Jun 16, 2010 12:50 am Hi Losonogo, The kitchens you have drawn up in this thread look amazing! Really well done! Can you help me draw mine up? That would really help me picture my kitchen! Ceiling Height is 2740mm White coloured Granite/Caeser Stone benchtops Glossy white cabinets (either drawers or doors for the base cabinets) Glass Splashback Free standing cooktop/oven combination Double Sink (equal size) Double door fridge Microwave next to Fridge Exposed rangehood And bulkhead above wall cabinets Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Hope I have provided enough information! That is as much as I have thought of at this stage... Thanks Losonogo! Re: Need a kitchen drawn up? 156Jun 17, 2010 1:52 pm Hi Losonogo If you had some time would you be able to look over this plan/design , would like to have someone professional give us some feedback/direction. A few things about it. The island bench we have currently designed as a "country" benchtop - planned to be jarrah or something like that. Was originally going to be waterfall timber , but we did that on the current place and we are thinking of something a little different. The plan is to oil it and have it develop a "worked on" feel - not be too precious about the surface. We dont want any overhead cupboards as we have quite a large walk in pantry/storage area so we dont need the storage space. Instead of overheads we plan to run a commercial looking stainless pot rack for keeping all the pots and pans etc on. (Thats what the grey strip you can see on the 3D is. The house is modern/rural so we want the kitchen to have a moden country feel if that makes sense - not all timber/country old style. We've used a bulkhead to freame the kitchen space - is that how you would do it ? Anyway , any pointers/feedback would be much appreciated - we are doing working drawings in the next couple of months so need to finalise our thoughts for the kitchen. The 3D is not perfect I am just dabbling. I would prefer to have a wall oven but also don't want a tiny pantry Thankyou for any input Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Building with Format in SA , been in council for 5 months finally nearing approval ( fingers crossed ) Re: Need a kitchen drawn up? 158Jun 22, 2010 6:51 am Hi hopeful, Since we have just started moving in - I love our massive pantry - we have a wall oven also with mw above and it is very convenient especiallly with a 2 year old running about. So I thought of this.... maybe..... - you could have an oven tower but a wall of a pantry that can be as deep as you want (but deeper than 45 cm is probably wasted) then you could have the laminate/whatever cupboard surface as a feature on that pantry wall. Sorry about the crappy cut and paste This way you gain more pantry with more shelving that is less deep, don't lose too much bench top and can fit an oven tower in somewhere either near fridge or at old pantry end with the wall still there. http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww288/ambipup05/kit.jpg Re: Need a kitchen drawn up? 159Dec 03, 2010 2:44 pm losonogo Hi All Here are the images for Michelle or 'Ford' I didnt know exactly what style you wanted your kitchen in so i went for a french or more period look for a change:) After drawing up the image, i did come up with alternative ideas however not sure if your going for a simple kitchen or a full custom build. Will have to let me know what you think:) I have also been playing around with some rendering software however as you can see in the third image, not the best:( Regards Losonogo Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I don't know if losonogo comes on here anymore but I did want to show my kitchen (even though it is not finished) which is based on his/her drawings.
