A1. being treated like scum by rental agents A2. being treated like scum by landlords who think pets are the antichrist. We are also landlords and consider ourselves good landlords. I guess cause we are still quite young (in our 20's) with 2 kids they probably look down on us and think we cant afford the rent and that we are party animals...lol (which is something you do everynight with 2 kids under 3) Building in the Hunter Valley - 5 glorious acres. Sold our house Oct last year & are yet to start the build...long story but hopefully will have a start date by this time next week. We were fortunate & had a choice of rentals - applied for 3 & were accepted by all so we got to choose. The agent has been very professional & has responded promptly to any concerns or requestes we have had. We signed a 6mth lease to start with & have this week resigned for another 5 mths - hopefully that gives us plenty of build time plus a week or 2 spare. Builder reckons 16 weeks build so heres hoping! Best bit for us is the location of the rental - we can look out any window & see our block & we both drive past it to & from work each day! This is the view we get over the fence from the lounge room window! After that I had to walk out the front door, across the road and through the (dry) creek to have a proper look. Must have been all of 300m. We've had the offer of a short term tenant whilst waiting for CDC/DA home approval and demolition for our knock down rebuild.
