If we dont pay he said he will walk and not answer any of my phones calls. He admits that he did it wrong, Coral was out there with us when the guy come and he stuck into him aswell. Anyway never agreed to pay him. They pulled it down yesterday and have started again. I asked him why should we pay when its there mistake and he said, thats fair... I dont think so. Because hubby had already started the holes then they just followed, even though i emailed him to tell him that it has to be exactually to Corals plans... I have kept a copy of this email. But guess what i wont answer his calls when he wants his money, have a feeling its going to get nasty Hoe are you coming along?? Cherie Re: Re designed Hamilton 278 44Feb 26, 2010 6:27 pm That is really poor form from the retaining wall guy.. Is there anyone you can take it up with?? Dept of Fair Trading maybe? It doesn't sound right that you have to hand over more money because he stuffed up. We just got our contruction loan formally approved (finally!!) so it's off the private certifier next week, then on to council. Once that it is all done, we get to start on retaining walls and tree lopping. 16 trees on the block that unfortunatley have to go... Nic. It seems that it has been a very long process so hopefully once slab is down it will all go quickly. Changed my bathroom cupboeards the other day , missed the variation fee, but we have decided on doing our own carpet as friend is a carpet layer got charged $100 fee but, we will save $2000.00 so i didnt mind. Are you plans still in council? Will upload some photos this week. Cherie Re: Re designed Hamilton 278 48Mar 17, 2010 12:30 pm Haven't hit council yet - been with the private certifier for nearly 2 weeks so hopefully not too much longer until they get to council, then however long that takes. This has been a lesson in patience if nothing else! Nic. Update...Since we have started there has been builders there everyday, even starting to put the frame up at 2pm and working to 7.30pm, i can not fault Coral at all so far. The plumbers told us that we have the fastest site manager, from slab to finish they have seen houses completed in 8 weeks. Some days you go up there and there are 3 or 4 different tradies. The slad was poured on the 17th March which will be a week tomorrow and we have frame, plumbing, gutters fascia, windows and doors in, tomorrow they will put roof tiles on, then start bricking and gyprocking this week. Lock up next week, can not beleive it there rolling along. All very exciting. Will try to do photos now Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ First site scrap.... 11th March Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Screw Piers 12th March Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Plumbing and frame work 15th & 16th March Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Slab Poured 17th March Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We wrote our names on the water tank slab Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Frame 19th & 20th March Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Frame Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Frame from bottom of hill Havnt had time to download camera with windows but will ty to do it during the week Cherie Re: Re designed Hamilton 278 51Apr 02, 2010 1:35 pm Roof tiles are now on, and sarking on the walls are up. That is awesome! So you started around 10 March and finish 28 May, so a total of 2 1/2 months??? That is amazing!!! So glad we have the same site supervisor that you do!! He sounds like a champ! Pictures please???? Show the place off a bit!! Nic. Since we started there has not been a single day with no one on job site, including Sundays. Considering we had nearly a week off for easter and 4 days off as we had no water connected it aint too bad. I will get some photos on this week , there in the middle of painting. Then just the final touches. Will get photos when painting complete. Cherie Nic hows your plans going???? Re: Re designed Hamilton 278 58May 08, 2010 10:58 pm Our plans are still in council... it's been 6 weeks since they were sent to council, and 2 weeks prior to that that they were sent to the private certifier. We have been told that they have been sent off to RFS last week (as we are in a bushfire prone area) and apparently that only takes around a week, so we should hopefully hear something mid this week... fingers crossed anyway!
