Will probably check with the neighbours to see if they saw anything and then report it to the police. Will consider putting up a fence but have to weigh against the costs. Re: Rubbish dumped on vacant land, what action can be taken? 6Jan 11, 2007 3:10 pm This happened to us and we spoke to the developer. Eventually he moved it off our land, but just dumped it on the block behind us.
We could tell from the bricks which houses had been dumping. Re: tradition 7Jan 11, 2007 5:17 pm ![]() ![]() Do you have the roadside collection? Sorry, what is roadside collection? . Some lucky people get the council come around a couple times a year to collect large objects so sometimes you see streets full of old sofas, Tv's beds etc left on the side of the road for collection. Sasha ![]() Re: Rubbish dumped on vacant land, what action can be taken? 8Jan 16, 2007 5:23 pm this was done on my sisters vacant land and
ive got a vacant land that might get dumped on aswell ![]() i guess the best solution is to build on that vacant land ![]() Re: Rubbish dumped on vacant land, what action can be taken? 9Jan 18, 2007 11:28 pm Thanks Snappy - excellent explanation of Roadside Collection.
Depending on how much stuff there is, once they clear your block or start building they may take it all away with the rest of the grass/dirt/bricks etc from the building process. Or if you're not so lucky they might charge you extra for doing it! ![]() Regards Rubbish dumped on vacant land 10Feb 06, 2007 11:14 am I have had the same problem; rubbish/debris dumped on my vacant land.
My nextdoor neighbour and the one opposite me were building at the same time. It was hard to keep an eye on who was doing it. Rang up both builders (WB and Buildex, Perth based) none of them admitted. To cut the long story short, I paid the local council a visit, they said they couldn't take any actions unless I had photos to prove it. Now I am thinking of putting up a high fence since we haven't decided on whether to build. I'd try posting it on airtasker. I am sure you will find someone willing do take them for a couple of hundred $ 1 747 ![]() Just to clarify, I'm not a builder I've read my own council's LEP numerous times and worked with an architect to understand my own lot size and problems. 5 2348 I work with owner, he/she is my man on the ground and I instruct them when to visit the site and take photos and I have other tools in the bag. 4 16720 ![]() |
