Mernda Villages 1384Dec 03, 2009 9:43 pm Lisa, sorry to hear about the row of trees. They looked fabulous and would've taken years to grow. They also acted as a great windbreak.... I hope they plant more trees to replace them. Yep, another rise. We have now had 3 rises and haven't even started building yet. Had to pay the water bill yesterday on a vacant block - we don't even have a tap! ....Westpac are very greedy. Roughly how long does it take to get all the materials in for building? Earlier this week it was all ordered, (yes I know it doesn't happen overnight) and I was wondering how long I can expect to wait before something ACTUALLY happens on my block. Mernda Villages 1390Dec 05, 2009 10:34 am ^ You know what happened at my school? A yr7 was encouraging a 40yr old father to do a burnout so I yelled at him (the child - better clarify that lol and despite what people think, I can be mean! lol). And what did the stupid father do!? Drove around the carpark, and then did a burnout as he was leaving through the gates!!!! Im still trying to hunt down who he is, as he was picking up a primary student and I dont know who most of the PS students are If they want to be hoons, they should go down to Calder Park or Drag Tag - then I dont care! But not in residential areas or the like I have a wedding to go to today, I really should be going but I needed to check up on H1 first Custom European Cabinets - Melbourne Kitchen Specialist PM for business details as website currently being updated! Mernda Villages 1391Dec 05, 2009 9:22 pm Those hoons I didn't hear them last night as we were out til quite late but we have had to put up with them since we moved in. Thankfully they haven't been back in some weeks now. My DH chased them out of the Estate a month or so ago at 2:15am....white commodore, blue commodore and a nice shiny new orange Ute. When we first moved in and were the only occupant in the street they used to start up there around 9pm. They love to do donuts up at the Galloway Rd intersection. Police are always just those few minutes too late. I'm hoping they've moved on now, they can go and annoy someone else. Bam, we have a parent from school who lives down near your block, he races down MV Drive everyday after school pick up doing around 80. It is a 40 zone for some of it and 50 the rest. One day he is going to cop a mouth full from me. Happy at Home Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Mernda Villages 1392Dec 06, 2009 10:54 am Burnouts? Travelling 40k over the speed limit? Mernda Villages 1394Dec 06, 2009 11:09 am Arighty lovely ladies, Im bored. And I want this house to hurry up. And do you know what I just realised? I still need to get engineering down! Which i cant get quotes on til the plans are finished, which they're not. So in the mean time Im getting quotes on heating and cooling and we went to look at a TV size for our home theatre. Did you know a 65-inch plasma (which we dont want, we want LCD) is $10k So we thought we'd look at projectors and have fallen in love with one! Its $4500 just for the projector but given the size of the screen and the quality, we'll prob go with the projector option I think Im might start looking up toilets, baths etc Custom European Cabinets - Melbourne Kitchen Specialist PM for business details as website currently being updated! (I know it started with S...I'm a marketers worse nightmare. No recall ) They are offering 2 for 1 tvs. It's the ad with the 2 cute kids dressed as elves. Worth checking out their website. Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Mernda Villages 1396Dec 06, 2009 11:24 am Unfortunately, with the size TV we were after 55" or above in LCD, costs were around $6k and there was only one company which made LCD in 55" and the rest were smaller or plasma. So no good for our home theatre But 2 for 1 would be good... we currently have a TV the size of a pallet of bricks Awesome TV though, so I probably wouldnt throw it away as its still worth a few thousand. Is this a standard colourbond fence? We've noticed whilst driving around the estate that some fences are made of a material which resembles corrugated iron.
