Just wanting to know how much people paid for their inground pool with the fencing? I was thinking to budget an extra $25k or so on top of the house but I am starting to think I should probably double it.
I would prefer a concrete one but also interested in fibregalss.. Thanks

WE were due to pay ~$24K for our pool late last year, but we bought it during a promotional period where you could win your pool free (or at least up to $20K). On the day they install it, some woman came bounding around our front fence with one of those massive cheques, saying that we were the winners!!!!!! YAY!!!! I'm still smiling over my new couch purchase We bought a Conquest Pool (made in Shepparton) called The Franklin 10m x 4.1m from Summerset Pools and Spas via ebay. We bought the pool as a kit which included everything apart from the pvc pipes. They gave us the names/numbers of their installers and I rang one and he agreed to do the job. Pool was delivered in January and installed in April. Pool has a 25 year warranty. When I started to look at fibreglass pools early last year all our quotes come in between $42,000 - $45,000 - just for the pool! We wanted a big pool as we have the space ( it runs down the side of the house) but we weren't prepared to pay $45k for it. Yeah unfortunately Blue Haven are well known for their "$19,990" pool deals. These normally escalate to well over $30k by the end of the build. The thing about going through someone reputable is that they'll at least spell everything out to you up front so you don't get a nasty surprise later on. Just like H3nley and S!monds were the builders I knew never to build with since I was a kid, Blue Haven was the pool builder I knew never to go with. Word of mouth is a very strong thing. That being said, there are actually one or two rare extremely good Blue Haven franchisees out there, I've been told the one around Gosford is actually quite good and that's by competing pool builder! edit: and if you're going concrete, the main person we got a quote off said that the only difference in price between a 7x3 and an 8x4 is about 15 mins excavator hire/labour and a little bit of concrete, so only a couple of hundred dollars. 9x4 is $1-2k more expensive due to needing more steel. However, it a 9x4m concrete ingound. Top of the range pump, filter, solar heating, water feature, LED lighting, beadcrete interior etc. We are budgeting approx extra $10k for fencing, $10k for paving and $5k for retaining wall. So an $85k pool in the end  I got a lot of quotes. And I think around $40k would get you a fairly decent 8x4m pool. It is just all the extras that add up... We are pretty happy to have come in under our budget ($35k) for everything. Just goes to show how much profit the Companies make and what you can do if you have the time to shop around Our water was trucked up from Phillip Island as we were told there were only three place in Victoria where water can be used for Pools. It was spring water, lovely and clear (and the concreters came) Phillip Island, Kinglake (which is out of service at the moment due to the bushfires earlier in the year) and another place which I can't remember.....Guy had a 16,000L truck and cost was $400 per load. He didn't think the pool would take the final full load so only charged us $200 but the pool ended up taking 14,000 out of the 16,000 litres, we still only paid $200 A friend back in our old suburb spent $100,000 last year on a fibreglass (8x4) pool, landscaping, paving, fencing and a path around the perimeter of the house. We are putting in a 8 x 4.4m fibreglass pool ready to swim for just under $30k. This also includes water feature with 600mm sheer descent waterfall, 4 x spa jets in the seating area, Astral Hurlcon Viron 300 energy efficient pump, Hurlcon Salt Chlorinator, Alum pool fencing, 400x400 Himalayan sandstone coping, pipework for future heating provision, LED pool light etc etc. Were also looking at concrete, but we were happy with the shape of the f/g and the finish of it.
