We have 2 sunken rooms in the new house, and he thought it was hilarious how 'old fashioned' it is. He pointed out he hasn't done a sunken room since the 80's and reckons after doing ours here doesn't miss it either! lol We are going to have ivory quartz stack stone under the bench in the new house. Re: Show me your kitchen... 119Jul 27, 2009 10:07 pm hi Inspired our benchtop is granite. late 80's apricot . we had that too we also had a sunken lounge where as our closest friends who built at the same time had a sunken games room. yes and slate floors. ours were mostly terracotta colours but dark slate flooring was very popular then.
