Yep onc_artisan we have lived in this area for a while now and are sadly familiar with clay soils . PITA sometimes but what can we do? Was there during wungong(sp?) dam etc. That's a while back I would expect the site could be xe. Just ask if they have included contingency extras... and should this not be reached will a refund be possible? Where you are coming from is where you are going to... I used treated pine for my max 1m high wall. Admittedly, I have no confidence in my ability to construct this type of wall so I will be looking for a suitably qualified landscaper to do it for me. I suspect it will be a bit pricey but it'll be worth it in my opinion! Fence, paving, retaining wall - CHECK! Still so much more to do.....
