Thanks in advanced yeah it is usually marked up, or at the very least, they get a discount on retail through tehir trade accounts and charge you retail. Consider it a premium for sourcing and transporting the goods. You may get it cheaper than they are charging you, but work out the costs associated with Time, fuel, any tolls etc to determine if the difference is worth the effort. Re: Mark up on material by trades as an owner builder 6Jan 24, 2024 12:18 pm Always get multiple quotes, no matter how reasonable/cheap you think it is. I remember getting a few quotes for a pool fence, roughly around the same price, thinking the third one will be around that mark so why bother - I went and got a third quote, was much cheaper and great workmanship. So it's always worth seeking various tradespersons, and even negotiating with supplies (their suppliers might be heaps more expensive, so if you can source it yourself, could save heaps). $395 Fixed Priced Landscape Plans for DA M: 0435 127 244 | W: bluegumdesign.com.au | E: info@bluegumdesign.com.au Residential | Commercial | Industrial "Losers" "humanity" "off time" "your" "top notch" "love symbol" Sounds like ponzo is done using other people's toilets 36 25181 I have a Nectre Mk2 wood fire recently installed, the flue rises approx 700mm before entering an existing brick chimney via a 45 degree elbow with approx 400mm connection… 0 2285 |
