Pool area was extended and slab laid. Then spigot core drilled and set in place. Then screed and waterproofing. Then tiler came and did tiling and cut the tiles with hole for the spigot so just laid over it. They grouted all rest of tile lines but not around spigot. Does it matter, the cover plate is cover the hole so it doesn’t look wrong but wasn’t sure if corner has been cut by not filling in grout? Re: Grout tile around spigot? 2Aug 05, 2023 11:41 am This is the way its generally completed, tiler will not grout around spigot as any movement on spigot will just crack the grout. This should be finished with an external grade sealant to prevent water entering under the tiles and this will allow for movement. Make sure sealant is compatible to waterproofing as sometimes they can react to each other, if unsure get waterproofer back to complete the filling around the spigots.
