Thanks for proving my point BIMbag Re: Slab for retaining wall: advice needed 17Mar 09, 2023 8:06 am wayfarer Height issue. Max height is 1m - can't go higher. Taper from the house at 1:20 drops the slab by 50mm at the retaining wall (this taper is shown on the sketch). An additional taper 1:100 along the length at 3.5 m gives an additional drop of 35 mm. So the total is already 85 mm. More questions That would have been know at the initial design stage when setting the ffls? wayfarer Dropping it down by another 100mm, assuming you're talking about strip drain, will lower the entire wall by 185mm... The story is: the builder created plans for the house, the retaining wall is by the owner (me). The retaining wall was engineered by an engineering company (separate from the builder). The builder and retaining wall are a part of the same DA. I asked the engineering company to provide offsets from the wall - they responded "talk to your bulder. We provide structural drawings only" The builder says the final position is up to me ... Am I entitled for an architectural drawings for the retaining wall? I thought about cracking where 200 meets 75. Was almost certain it'll crack there. If I continue n12 as an S shape bent into 75mm slab, will it help?
