I was searching on this website for some ideas/tips and people's experiences and came across your Topic which I found really useful when choosing the upgrades. Carlisle has suggested that we obtain quotes for Demolition and also contact United Energy for Underground Pit. I was wondering whether you could share your experience on the below: 1. I noticed you went ahead with Demolition Depot. How was your experience with them? 2. How much you ended up spending for underground pit ? Did you have to hire a licensed electrical contractor? United Energy are asking us to do that? If you did choose the contractor how much appx did you spend for that? It will be really great if you can share your experience. Thank you Joshi Re: KDR in Melbourne SE suburbs- Carlisle - Montpellier 51 186Dec 21, 2020 9:26 pm joshiNJ Hi HoneyDee Not sure whether you are stil active on this Topic as you must have been enjoying the luxury of the Montpellier We have decided to go ahead with Carlisle to build Montpellier Grand 54. Thank you Joshi Hi JoshiNJ, I haven’t been active on this thread since a long time. However I got an email notification about your message. We are enjoying the home. No complains. Very happy with Carlisle’s warranty service. It is almost 1.5 yrs since handover. But anytime we email even for minor things we get an immediate reply. The warranty inspector comes over ASAP and if it is a defect from their end they get it fixed. To answer your queries: 1. Demolition Depot guys were very professional and did an excellent job. They cleared the site as per Carlisle requirements. We were very satisfied with them. 2. The underground pit cost us approx 3.5K. We were lucky that the electricity pole is only about 2 m from where our pit was installed. They charge you depending on the distance between the pole and your pit location. We did not have to get our own contractor. We applied to United Energy. They quoted us for the whole job. We made the payment and in a few weeks the pit was installed. Good luck with your journey. Get in touch any time you have questions Thank you for your reply HoneyDee, I really appreciate it. It's great to hear that you don't have any complains with you home. We have been contacted by Carlisle and they will advise when we have to commence our process of applying pit and contacting Demolition company etc... Will get in touch to seek your experience for sure if any questions come. Thanks for your reply! We're definitely not after a small house Might still have a chat to them. Who did you end up building with if you don't mind me asking? 2 2841 The biggest challenge will be if you take out a loan and then run out of money - you'll have an incomplete security and lenders do not like this so you can get stuck.… 2 20242 Hi, I am looking into doing a KDR in Melbourne and am contemplating using Kialla Homes. I am looking for feedback on them from others who have built with them. 0 14332 |
