Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes modified Noosa 25 Far North Coast NSW 17Dec 04, 2018 7:03 am Just a quick question... we finalised all of our upgrades last weekend and our consultant emailed yesterday with our new home estimate and told us she had submitted it to head office. Is this to get official drawings? and then if we are happy with it do we sign the contract? How long are we looking at to get the drawings back? And can we make changes once the drawings are back? Thanks guys Re: Coral Homes modified Noosa 25 Far North Coast NSW 18Dec 04, 2018 8:24 am You will have a tender appointment once the drawings and pricings are finalised. You then check the plans and make sure they are what you requested and fix any mistakes. You also have the option of making changes, however, they may charge you a variation fee if you structurally change the plans. We had to fix 3 little mistakes at tender - external tap in wrong place, laundry door showed sliding in wrong direction and media room sliding door needed moving over. We didn't have to pay a variation fee as they were all requests that we had done before tender. It then took 2 more weeks to get the plans back again, but they were perfect. She submitted them yesterday We ran into the Christmas break last year, so our plans went in at the end of November and came back on 11 January. With the couple of corrections, we finalised everything on 27 January 2018. That was the only delay in the whole process.
