Re: Would you recommend JG KING? bit nervous! 18Mar 10, 2009 9:14 am wakeboardandy DARING2Build JG King - Thoroughly unprofessional IMO I see you are building with them. Which office did you go through and what stage are you up to now? With all the good intentions we were to build with them. We had requested changes to the plan, and they quoted us based on those changes. The quote has a line item 'Amend plan and increase floor area' and they have included the amount for the same that was agreed upon. When we did not hear from them 5 weeks after paying the deposit, we contacted them to find out that the senior staff feels that their building consultant has not 'quoted enough' based on the required changes. If we want to build with them, we will need to pay an additional 16500. Now it is not a question of if we can pay/ not pay this additional amount. The question is that once you have quoted based on the requested changes/ plan, accepted the deposit - should you after 6 weeks ask for more money because your staff made a mistake in estimating/ quoting - or stick to your quote? Well.. have asked for the deposit back today.. They have wasted our 2 months.. and the search for a 'good builder' begins once again Re: Would you recommend JG KING? bit nervous! 19Mar 10, 2009 9:29 am Wow, I cant believe YOU had to contact them to find this out.
