We added doors to our media room, and extended the kitchen as well. Plus a balcony to the third bedroom. I those were the only structural changes we made.i can't wait to see our build recommence ,i reckon the internals will be more exciting. Re: New home build with Oracle 30Oct 21, 2017 9:29 pm Re: New home build with Oracle 31Oct 22, 2017 6:28 am Oh wow that is perfect😍😍 I wanted a butlers panty but the guy at the office said the extra bench and shelving is probably the best they could do. I was a bit disappointed when I saw the plans as they also took out my pantry but we didn’t want to hold up the build so we left it as that. Do you mind me asking how much extra for the butlers pantry? I can’t wait to see your kitchen. Thanks Zuzu00, i am not 100% sure but just from the top of my head I think it costs a total of $5300 for all the structural changes and the fittings for the pantry. We had to take out the storage cupboards in the garage to get the butlers. I think yours still looks good with plenty of bench space.. I can't wait to see all your build come through too. I hope the colours come together well too. Re: New home build with Oracle 33Oct 28, 2017 12:02 am Hi Zuzu00, any updates on your build? Photos☺️☺️?Nothing was done on ours this week. The frames have been delivered though this week, they will be up next week, can't wait to see some progress☺️. Re: New home build with Oracle 34Oct 29, 2017 6:51 am Hi we got to see inside the house this week and meet with the electrician. I think we have put in an extra 10 power points. And we ran data cables through the house which we were allow to do ourselves (hubby is a qualified cabler) that saved us $1000. The house was wrapped and hopefully brick work starts this week then the roof. They have not told us when they are starting it yet. The first pic is looking into where the kitchen is and the next one is the staircase area. Sorry about the bad pics I took a video and took screenshots off that😂😂 last one is the media room. I can’t wait to see your pics. The frame going up is exciting it starts to sink in that you have a home 🏠 Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: New home build with Oracle 35Oct 29, 2017 8:10 am Zuzu00 Hi we got to see inside the house this week and meet with the electrician. I haven't heard anything about an electrical appointment , I don't think we will have one, it's amazing how they do their things differently. I can't wait for the frames to start too so I can post the pictures ☺️☺️. Hope you bricks start soon, you will be in your house before you know it! Re: New home build with Oracle 36Nov 05, 2017 12:31 am Frames started this week, they were on sight for only 2 days this week so we have only the downstairs frames so far. I was hoping to have frames done by end of the past week, anyhow we will see what the coming has for us. Any update Zuzu00? Re: New home build with Oracle 37Nov 05, 2017 5:28 am Oh that is great news hopefully they finish the top by the end of the week😀 we drove past Friday night but everything looks the same I don’t think anything was done 😟 we don’t have any power to the house yet as we are waiting on Energex it have nearly been 5 weeks waiting for power so I’m wondering if they are waiting for that before they start doing anymore work🤔🤔 any pics of your frame? Mmmh, seems like you had a very slow week too. Could be possible they are waiting for the power, wish they would let you know ☺️. I didn't take any pics of the frame just seemed so incomplete ☺️, will do it this week when the finish. I had a sneak peek though, I felt like the combined dining and living was such a small area , I hope it is actually bigger than it looks 😂😂. Re: New home build with Oracle 39Nov 05, 2017 8:03 am Yes it does seem small I was disappointed but after having a second look later I felt better about it and remembering that we have a small media room too. We saw a display Home oracle have at Pimpama and it is similar size dining lounge room and it worked quite well. I’m using the under stair storage as a pantry now we will be adding a white frosted door to it haha. I bet your kitchen looks big. 😀 Re: New home build with Oracle 40Nov 05, 2017 8:10 am Zuzu00 Yes it does seem small I was disappointed but after having a second look later I felt better about it and remembering that we have a small media room too. I bet your kitchen looks big. 😀 I have heard of the Pimpama display home, might go there one of the weekends, maybe that will convince me we have a workable space 😂😂. I think you have a great idea there for your pantry, there is plenty of space in the under stair storage, putting a frosted door will make it beautiful. To be honest I can't even visualise the kitchen at the moment , the space just seemed too small, the butlers pantry looked so tiny 😅, maybe when everything is in place or when I have a second look everything might look different. Thanks for letting me know about the Pimpama display home ☺️ Can anyone recommend a good/affordable retaining wall and fence builder that I can get a quote from located in Sydney? 8 47834 If you are in Victoria you have a statutory right to your own building inspector regardless of builder's consent.
