I will be getting all the wet areas done by Edenbrae. Has anyone who have build with EBH shed some light on it? Pros and Cons pls... Like would that be considered as the breach of the contract? and so on Also if you could please share your experience as well in doing so.... Thanks in advance We are building the Waldorf 50 with Eden Brae. There are always advantages and disadvantages doing tiling externally after handover. As someone who has owned several properties I can tell you that I will not risk someone externally doing the tiles. Yes a pro of doing it externally is it will be cheaper. However, I had one bad experience where the tiles rose and collided with the tile next to it overnight after almost 7 years, where luckily I had done it with a builder who promptly replaced all the tiles otherwise it would have been very hard to get it fixed externally due to the fact that tile factory outlets do close and the tiler disappears as well after they have done the job. I will not risk the warranty as it's if anything does go wrong you can always count on the builder fixing it up for you. Because the records are all there. If you went to do it externally some of them will want you to pay cash only and guess what? You have no recourse if anything goes wrong as it did in my case. (2) any benefit if tile size is just 450x450 or 300x300? It depends on how much tiling your area is. Usually they will recommend this for 600 x 600 tiles due to the large area. I don’t see any benefit for the 300 x 300 or 450 x 450 as from a cost perspective you might end up needing more tiles if you use the 1.5mm grout. Hi Nekual, I believe for 600 x 600 tiling the cost would be around $90-$100 per sqm including all the credit. But not sure 100%. Thanks I built with EB back on 2009.
