I would certainly recommend steel frames - JGK Ed Apparently the thermal behaviour of plasterboard is much more similar to that of steel than that of timber! However I have found when researching the "steel frame noise non-issue" that many people state their timber framed houses creaked much more than their steel framed ones do!
