Yes agree, my solicitor has already sent me a letter saying to have the stamp duty funds prepared and delivered in bank cheque format to their office by 1 August (although it is only due on 9 August)...I just checked the letter again and it says "if stamp duties are paid after 15 months time then the interest rate is 10.75% p.a on a daily basis..Should you prefer to pay the stamp duty on settlement (if within the 15 month period) please advise our Office of this matter but bear in mind additional charges may be applicable". I have a funny feeling the next update we receive will state that greenbank collection settlement will commence from July onwards |
