02/02/2016 - Fit out started and electricians back to start locating points and lights.

All our internal doors have arrived and work has started on internal fit out. Electricians are also back on site to start the painful task of measuring out locations and finding the cables for all the points and lights.

Carpenter spent all day cutting skirting and architraves for each room. By the end of the day he had hung 2 doors to the Guest Room and fitted the Architrave around them.
So happy with our doors.. something just a tad different

Electricians have located all the light switches and power points. Now just to do all the downlights lol

Some updated pics with the scaffold all gone...

Gas connection has been brought in from the street.

Not a lot in our external meter box.. it will all be in the garage lol

The duplex on the corner has finally started. We will lose our view over the estate but we will have quite a bit of space between us and them so we should still get our beautiful breezes.

Hey roo,

I went past your place this morning after a trip to masters, gosh it's looking so good

the brick work and cladding look so crisp. Agree about the distance between your place and the duplex it's a big gap and the breeze will come through nicely. Love the front door you must paint it a funky colour, what colour will your render be?

Agree about your hand railing being dark it will keep your theme flowing nicely. Ours is white and it's okish.

Great to see your water proofing is done too, tiling or painting next?

Hey Tribe,
The render is going to be same colour as cladding and once finished I am considering getting all the windows tinted in a dark grey / black to add impact.
Yeah front door is almost a certain to be going yellow with monument frames around the glass panels.
Our SS is "over it" Lmao.
Actually... I thinks it's more the case that he's over US!!!! Bahahahahahahaha.

10/02/2016 - Cabinets Going In!!!

Cabinets to all the Bathrooms, Powder Room and Laundry are in and the Kitchen Cabinets are being done now.. Will get pics on my way back to work this afternoon if I have time.

Look pretty boring without tops and fixtures but here they are anyway lol

A nice white on the render will be really good roo, good idea to tint the Windows too, it will make a strong contrast. Can't wait to see your door it will be awesome.

Hahhahah your ss needs to suck it up, agree about not being a roll over customer. Halfway through our build my ss called me and said right when we have trades onsite and something isn't 100% clear I'm getting them to call you

Ss decided he didn't want to just guess and got the flooring man to call me, I came up to the house and had a look and picked the silver. The gold would of annoyed me but it's the attention to detail that counts.

15/02/2016 - Tiles Started...
Tiler was out on Friday to do the bedding for the upper floor bath rooms and back this morning to start the tiles.
He's now got to pull 4 of them up, cut out the bedding and re-do them to allow for the smart floor wastes.
Nothings ever straight forward lol

We also have a new SM.. Mark id gone and we now have Scott.
Met him this morning and if first impressions are anything to go by.. I think I am going to be happy for the next 6 weeks or so till hand over. Yup.. they reckon maybe 6 weeks.. as long as there are no hiccups lol.

Laundry tub and benchtop were delivered this morning.

21/02/2016 - Tiles Update...
Our tiler was on site today (Sunday!!) so I thought I would stop in for a quick look.
Progressing well. He should be done by Tuesday with only delay being the install of bench tops.
Hard to tell from some of the pics but they ARE almost black tiles lol.

Your tiler is working hard roo, I'm having a heart palpitation at your tiles they will be insane to keep clean but gosh they look amazing. So shiny

Kitchen is coming along great, big fan of the vertical grain in the cabinets.

Your main floor tiling is a white porcelain? Will set the cupboards off beautifully.

Lol... I love the tiles... and I don't clean them lmao.
Yeah kitchen / living area will be 600 x 600 Crystal White Porcelain, and kitchen benches will be white.

I had a friend question me as to why we had woodgrain base cupboards but white overheads. They couldn't understand it lol
More tiles to clean ;-)
