Shopping Shopping Shopping!!
Every week we have been collecting more items for the house. Paying off a large order for new beds and matresses from Super Amart and have now started collecting light fittings and today Ceiling Fans... 7 of them lol. Still need another 2 for the Alfresco.

Intercept 2 - 4 Blade Ceiling Fans. We ordered them in Brushed Aluminium and had the blades swapped out for black blades.
Also have Exhaust fans, step lights and a few down lights

If you haven't already I would run cat6 for security cameras. You already have more than enough data may as we run 6 odd to various points for cameras incase you want to add them in the future.

We have 6 cat points at various locations around the house running back to a NVR. Haven't purchased any of the hardware as yet. Still researching and trying to find the best (read most trustworthy) supplier)

Brickies are hard at work!! We were originally told they would get the bottom floor done before Christmas but now they are going to continue and have the whole lot finished before Christmas!!

Yeah heaps been happening.. good.. and bad. Bricks are finished and all internal walls are plastered! !
On my way back from Perth at the moment so will do proper update with pics Tuesday night or Wednesday; -)

I'd be more worried about your neighbors being dirty they spent potentially more to comply and you didn't.

In my brother in laws steer everyone complied with covernant except one house everyone was furious as they spent $20-40k extra to comply.

Your house is looking great roo, I went for a look after going to masters. The upstairs bits that haven't been bricked will be clad boarding? Love your front door I didn't realize how big it was until I actually saw it

Yes those sections are lightweight cladding.
Apparently it's booked for that cladding to go on and external painting for the week of the 11/01/16

did you end up having a look at the yellow door in riverstone? What colour will the render be to the front?

I thought they must be cladding as its finished off way to neatly for them to keep bricking it.

Wow that's not far away for the cladding to go on, what colour will that be painted?

I'm not concerned at all.
If people just accept what they are told without doing the research themselves then I guess they get what they get.
I suppose having a bit of a background in building has helped me, but it's also been a curse for many things.
Sadly, most people are brainwashed into believing they MUST do this and they MUST do that and they MUST have this colour or that material... and generally accept that they MUST do this so just accept it.
I wont accept anything like that. It's my house not theirs. It's my hard earned money not theirs. I also know the legislation that most people fail to understand.
In QLD (not sure about other states) the legislation was changed in 2009 and most of these so called covenants have no weight and are not enforceable. Most of those relate to issues such as the external materials and appearance. In our case the developer also tries to force everyone to have a driveway BEFORE occupying, which is also NOT enforceable.

I have no doubt I will have issues.. but I'm not at all concerned.
