TomCatthanks .. I'm just hoping the trades will move as swiftly as they have had the last week. Plastering is happening this week since the insulation is complete and the waterproofing for the floors are complete too ...

Re: Alkira Homes "The Sienna" KDR Ryde (NSW) - internals 533Jun 02, 2015 12:26 am Ooh, no worries... Good progress today - yay Re: Alkira Homes "The Sienna" KDR Ryde (NSW) - internals 534Jun 02, 2015 12:31 am Yay to progress! Sound so tired and it's only monday!!! Re: Alkira Homes "The Sienna" KDR Ryde (NSW) - internals 535Jun 03, 2015 11:50 pm ok ... now for the photo update. I mentioned that there was a hive of activity which has now died down. Site has been cleared of a lot of the debris which is good. A fresh load of gravel laid down in front of the driveway. So we're slowly moving to the next phase. Due to ground floor being laid with tiles I was told the stacker doors will need to be taken down and adjusted higher to allow the flush finish we want. There was a small problem with the wall from the void and not really meeting flush with the stackers which is definitely not what I was expecting. It is a squared finish but just looks odd and doesn't flow so have requested the SS to fix that before DW complains later on and would be more a headache at later stages. The fireplace room I was expecting squared corners but ended up with cornices instead. Personal preference and considering the style of the house not a huge issue, the display home was a rendered version so less cornices the better. Now for all the pic piggies ... View from the kitchen towards the living room and fireplace View from the kitchen to the guest room, void on the left and stairs on the right View of the stairwell area Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Looking towards the front of the house, take note of the front door frame! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ from the stairwell looking back to the kitchen, dining, living room and alfresco. winter brrrr Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Cornices are up now and this is the view of the garage Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Void view from upstairs, take note of this one as well Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Bathroom is walled up and floor has been waterproofed, now for the walls Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ View from the master bedroom looking at the retreat and the walk in robe (sky light might have to do for this room) From retreat looking back to the void (bedrooms on the left, stairs and the 4th bedroom on the right) View from the living room looking back to the house. Such open spaces! Winter will be very cold brrr I have fence! ... done with the neighbour.. chapter is officially closed (still have to clean their paved area due to the rain etc sand and dirt is covering their paved yard) I have new slab for the air con. They sized up the unit but the architects didn't know and I certainly didn't know ... let's see what the end product will be. It could be mighty noisy hahaha Now for some photos of the display ... it will roughly look like that minus the pretty rangehood and white shelves on either side of the rangehood and the wood panelling on the ceiling. Colour scheme is pretty close (just realised about the wall / ceiling due to void .. hmmm how will they paint that?) OMG! .. look at that view! ... It will look "roughly" like that (hopefully). See the lights they've used.. just not sure about brightness. Have purchased 6 wall lights already very similar and hopefully will be ok. Look at the display home front door!! ... It wasn't until I looked at my own and went back to have a look at the display did I realise they were different in height!! so... there you go ... that's the update so far. Re: Alkira Homes "The Sienna" KDR Ryde (NSW) - internals 536Jun 03, 2015 11:59 pm Great pics!!! Fantastic void. How exciting Re: Alkira Homes "The Sienna" KDR Ryde (NSW) - internals 537Jun 04, 2015 12:02 am Maybe your ceilings are higher than the display in that area? I don't know of course - just putting it out there. I didn't measure the front door tbh .. it was another one on the list that was assumed and not checked ... Looks lovely and bright in the living areas downstairs, the void looks very swish!
