Re: Our First Home, Clarendon Parkhill 36 in Coomera Retreat 69Apr 10, 2015 6:02 pm Got our plans and tender back today!!! I have to say.... I am soooo excited!!! Sometimes it's worth changing your direction and this is one of those occasions without a doubt. Some very minor tweaks to be done, and they are tweaks that will in fact save me money rather than cost lol. Will head in tomorrow and pay further deposit... Next stop contract and bank!! Look GREAT!! We made a couple of very minor changes and now just playing the waiting game for final plans and contract Went out yesterday and got new quotes for flooring (porcelain tiles and carpet) and also stopped in at The Lighting Superstore at Helensvale Homeworld. Young guy in there was extremely helpful. Waiting for price back from them and updated Lighting Illusions quote Cheers, Paul (& Lisa) Parkhill 36 by ClarendonHomes in Coomera Retreat H1 Build Thread And Blog Building Blogs List - Go Ahead And Add Yours!! Re: Our First Home, Clarendon Parkhill 36 in Coomera Retreat 79Apr 19, 2015 3:51 pm That's greats news, hope you get the final plans and contract back quickly. They are helpful at the lighting superstore hey, when you get all your quotes back check them against mika lighting (online shop) I've found there prices really good. Just got a pendant delivered from them Friday. Ohhh did you get some pics of the flooring?? You know we love photos ![]() Re: Our First Home, Clarendon Parkhill 36 in Coomera Retreat 80Apr 20, 2015 1:12 pm Haha I have a couple of floor pics but they are at home and I'm currently in Sydney so I'll post them tomorrow morning Yeah Lighting Superstore is pretty good. Young lad by name of Kris was exceptionally helpful and demo'do the lights for us and explains the pros / cons. We have also had fantastic help from Sean *spelling from Lighting Illusions. He has helped us so much over the past few visits. Anyhow, these pics might keep you going for a bit. This is the list of lights we will be using in our build (subject to change without notice lol) Main light used EVERYWHERE. Option 1 - Brightgreen D900+ LED Downlight. First let me say that these lights are NOT cheap. Almost double the cost of option 2 below. These downlights are by far the pick of the crop for me. We want a Natural / Neutral white and these are just superb. The beam angle is quite narrow compared to others but that works fine for me as I like symmetry ( 4 DL's per square room rather than 2). They are also mounted in a gimble style housing so I will be able to focus them on specific areas in some rooms while leaving them straight down in others. The Gimble is different from the traditional style in that it does not protrude from the ceiling. The "inner" section pivots to your desired angle then you just push up on it to lock it in that position. I have also since found out that you can obtain a number of different covers for them to transform the light into various styles. There are NO dark spots in a room when using these. Value for money, I don't think you can go past these however, compared to the Brightgreen, the Atom does not have the same quality natural white light. Still great just not quite there for me. These are also a little limited being a fixed light. If you wanted to focus a downlight you would need to change to a different type. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Pendant Lights for above Island Bench and Dining Table. Mondo 46 and Mondo 61. We will retrofit these with LED bulbs. We are thinking 3 x Mondo 46 across the Island and 1 x Mondo 61 for over the Dining Table. Haven't decided on either Red or Black yet. We are doing a complete Black and White colour scheme and the kitchen will be Crystal White porcelian tiles, black base cabinets, white Stone benchtops, white overhead cabinets and the highlight colour will be a Red glass splash back. So I think either red OR black will go well? Have tossed and turned on pendant lights and still not 100% sure soo... lol Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Outside Lights - Front SE7022 Matt Black Up Down LED. There will be 4 of these across the front. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Atom AT9133 Double LED Floodlight with sensor. This will be to one side of garage and will be in white for discretion. We will also have 3 more around the house but will not have sensors (dog will set it off lol) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We will also have a 7W downlight kit in the eaves over garage door. I missed their entire transition out of the volume world which is where I mainly have seen their work, Seems they are only doing custom now. interesting 6 31543 |
