Just an update on the boundary dispute ... neighbour had their surveyor go out and check and painted a mark which sits inside my part of the property..
already booked for an independent surveyor to check and having the builder's surveyor do their work again...
if both surveyor's come back with the same result then the headache begins... I won't have the required 900mm on the side boundary which is not good but at least it was measure correctly from the corner. If both are inconsistent then someone has made a big mistake!! which is just as bad!!

I found out we made a mistake on the stairs, we wanted what is on display which is very similar to yours forg but when I saw the frame it is actually covered on the way up. Will have to wait and see as we're not fussed either way at this stage since we've been waiting so long! As I've picked the same bricks as you, when it got delivered they looked overly darker than what I had imagined and I even had to drive past your place to check. Then I remembered you had a few photos of the bricks still packed and sure enough, it was the same as mine. Colours do seem to change when you're being super-observant. I was initially unsure whether they'd used the same paint on two adjacent walls, the way the light falls. This is located at the back of the house and the intent is to allow the gas fireplace to heat the air and push it towards the kitchen and dining and slowly rising to the top of the house via the void. We've bought 2 fans which has an LED light for the 2 provisioned lighting points in the ceiling of the void. Aim is to reverse the direction of the spin and circulate the warm air back down to keep the house warm (fingers crossed as it is a pretty big area. I was advised by the fireplace specialist to set the fireplace to switch on according to a temperature (forgot what it was) so that it automatically starts and switches off without intervention to keep the house warm enough when you get home and when you wake up. That said, given the structural risks and prior… 7 35001 Same, I worry that cladding/render will require some maintenance, and replacement eventually.
