Can't wait to see it all come together. What did you end up doing for your main flooring? I was happily suprised by the flooring. We found a nice standard range timber one and even the carpet wasn't TOO bad (we have lived in rentals forever and that carpet it always gross). We only went standard with that. I would have upgraded but Nath was worried about $$ so we compromised Building our first dream home in NSW Re: Coral Homes' Daydream 32 in Kurri Kurri NSW 54Nov 11, 2014 7:04 pm ASH Jordan SpringsColour choices look fantastic! I love the bathroom bench tops, I want something very similar. I'm looking at building with coral as well so it's great to get to see others choices and experiences. How did you find the range? Was there much that you felt had to be upgraded? Hey ashjordansprings. I went with the inspirations package, which was a promotion they had going for a while this year, but I'm not sure they are offering it anymore. With that package we got a whole heap of stuff (ceasarstone benchtops, nice taps, sinks, floating vanities, ducted ac or alfresco decked out etc). So with all that I felt like we didn't have to upgrade that much, but without it, I've heard/read the standard stuff needs a bit of upgrading:) How exciting for you guys just starting, where abouts is your block? Charcoal carpet must be on trend ; ) Re: Coral Homes' Daydream 32 in Kurri Kurri NSW 56Nov 11, 2014 7:24 pm We had our tile appointment this morning... We have pretty simple tastes so we didn't upgrade to much. Here our our selections if anyone is interested: Main bathroom: *Floor tiles, shower tiles and front and top of bath tiles- essential black 300x300 (STD). I tried to upgrade to white grout for the floor but they won't do it ![]() *Wall tiles up to 2100mm on all four walls (standard as part of the inspirations package) - classic Carrara white 200x400 (STD) laid vertically. Ensuite *floor and shower tiles- Rhodes Carrara grey satin rectified tile 300x300 (upgrade only ~$300 extra) *wall tiles- Rhodes Carrara grey gloss rectified 300x600 (upgrade only ~$800) laid vertically to 2100mm as per inspiration package *feature vanity wall- essential black 300x300 (STD) The white tile with the darker fleck through it is the upgrade and the other whitish tile is a standard one Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Building our first dream home in NSW Hey there, so with your tile upgrade does that $300 charge for the Rhodes Carrara grey satin tile INLCUDE labour? I had a look at tiles on Friday & can't really find any floor tile i like in the standard range.. Building our first dream home in NSW That's awesome! They don't seem to have that package anymore, I'm looking at going for their elegance package which seems similar to the one you have although it doesn't include flooring (unless you choose that option- I'm choosing ducted ac) or the floor in alfresco but I'm currently waiting on a quote which includes everything.. I'm really. Looking forward to getting it back because I'm 99% sure I'll be going with coral and want to get the fun (and expensive) stuff started! ![]() My block is in jordan springs which is in the penrith area, very exciting! Where abouts in Kurri are you? Is there a new estate there? My extended family is from Weston. Re: Coral Homes' Daydream 32 in Kurri Kurri NSW 58Nov 11, 2014 7:45 pm Hey Katie 11. Yeah that was for labour too. The floor tiles alone were $117, the rest was labour. Same with the upgraded wall ones... $336 for the tiles (and we have a pretty big ensuite) and the rest was labour. Building our first dream home in NSW Re: Coral Homes' Daydream 32 in Kurri Kurri NSW 59Nov 11, 2014 7:47 pm If you are looking to cut costs, the classic carrara white tile was standard. There is less of a grey fleck through it and I didn't like it nearly as much, but I accepted it for the main bathroom to save $$ Building our first dream home in NSW Re: Coral Homes' Daydream 32 in Kurri Kurri NSW 60Nov 11, 2014 7:50 pm Hey Ashjordansprings, There are new estates going up everywhere since the bypass opened up, but we are just building in an old vacant block in Kurri. It's between the pool and Coles. I think it's a great idea to get everything included in the package. Looking back on it, I wish we'd included driveway and fencing with coral. We might save $$ but organising it all is bloody exhausting lol Building our first dream home in NSW Same, I worry that cladding/render will require some maintenance, and replacement eventually. Bricks will be the last standing component in a build. 2 7557 For those thinking about building with Coral - Rotated through 5 different supervisors - Had to personally point out missing/wrong items during the building process -… 0 26443 You are correct they should have picked this up prior to construction, but unfortunately you are between a rock and a hard place now.
