Building our first dream home in NSW

There does seem to be a lot of waiting! It's a bit frustrating. We signed the contract and paid the 5% deposit at the start of the month. Monday was the earliest we could book in!

Like you, we opted for the inspirations package too so hoping we don't spend too much on the day with upgrades. Will let you know how it goes.

Definitely! Will depend what time we get home - it's a 4.5 hour drive and back to work Tuesday : (

What kitchen and bathroom options did you go for with the inspirations package?

We have gone for the global chef kitchen although changed the island bench getting rid of the shelving (dust collectors!) and adding waterfall ends.
Went for the organic elegance for the bathrooms

We will end up paying more to get a non-wood grain finish. Funny as the brochure lists both woodgrain and non-woodgrain finishes as options but noticed only woodgrain is listed in our contract.
We chose the alfresco but got a credit for the kitchen. We will be close to the beach so it will be a pain to keep clean and free of rust! So basically we'll be getting the integrated slab and timber decking.
Have opted for laminate flooring as thought we'd try something new. Have previously had polished timbers floors and found they get scratched easily particularly by the dog (and we now have two). Have also had tiles and found the grout hard to keep clean and looking nice particularly in the main thoroughfare.
What have you chosen?

FYI Premium Ceasarstone range e.g. Pure White is approx $300 per sq metre extra

Bathroom & ensuite tile upgrades came in at just over $7k - oopps!

We found a nice oak laminate in the standard range so didn't upgrade flooring. Although it doesn't include any underlay so she was going to price that up for me and let me know.
