Alkira Homes "The Sienna" KDR Ryde (NSW) - complete

Yeah, I'm too lazy to do it myself ... just do a search of this forum for Alkira, we're building in Ryde too, an Olivia.

You could hang pendants in line with the low upstairs wall, so it's not really blocking views. Might be too high for good lighting that way though. Should be fine for fans I would think.

We thought about that but then it will be hanging there for the sake of it with very little practical use. Which means I will have to rely on the wall lights which I have provisioned to provide "task" lighting. Also, trying to find a pendant that has enough cord without using ugly looking chains.


That's what we thought of as well, a large pendant with the multi light fitting. We also looked at one that sits right up the top, but due to height we gathered that it will look rather odd and there'll be a bit of glare from upstairs. Then there's the issue of bulb replacement for that sort of light. LEDs are great but if something was to go wrong then I would need to hire scaffolding just to replace a bulb

So I think fans is where we're leaning on going, the ones with a remote to control, as we only provisioned a light switch for the 2 lights up in the void hope it will work.

Drones fitted with LED downlights; when you flip the switch on they take-off from their hidden recharging parking-spot & hover over where you want the light (which is of course infinitely adjustable - the drones aren't hard-wired), when you flip the switch off they go back & park.

I'm so full of it! (where "it" is good ideas)

Slippery dip would have been a point of difference!

We wanted the Hebel floors but Metricon doesn't do them. Was the upgrade cost for the Hebel significant?

Thanks! The hebel floors was suggested by sales and if they didn't mention it I would not have known!
