Sorry to bump into your thread, but hope you can assist me here... (I really read through all of your folks interaction and really interesting and learning for me) We are building with Burbank as well in Melbourne South East (@Harcrest estate, Wantirna South) area. We are building small single story house - Albany 2000 http://www.burbank.com.au/victoria/house-details.aspx?ID=301, as it's being our first home . We had a huge delays to get things moving first with the land settlement (development by Mirvac) and when land settled, we had issues dealing with Burbank office to get the paperwork sign-off and site readiness (took 2.5 mth to get on site). Since onsite, things certainly has progress fast enough (within 4.5 weeks - site excavation to frame completion) and expecting lockup by 22-Aug. I would like to ask genuine question and feel free to be honest feedbacks... How long do you think the house ready basis on the stage we are at, to have PCI or handover? our official contract has a 260 days, and basis on that April 2015 is the completion timeline they have provided. My SS or admin., none of us are providing any details on the timeline on the each stages, instead just providing me the progress and how they are going... We are really concerned if this will take all the upto next year? to finish this small 20sq house? really??? Any thoughts? 27.08.13 Building Contract 09.07.14 Site Start 24.07.14 Base / Slab 28.07.14 Frame 27.08.14 Lockup 15.09.14 Fixout 25.11.14 Settlement Re: Burbank Home in Eynesbury 95Aug 19, 2014 8:25 pm Hi nnash1 and Welcome! The Burbank staff who I deal with openly state they are really busy at the moment and under staffed. I'm building in the south east too, and we took a long time to get to site as well. I (and I think Mentone too) have been following a few of Burbanks smaller builds like yours on this forum and they seem to be moving along hassle free and quickly. Rule of thumb is single stories take about 3 months while doubles around 6 (unless you are unlucky like Mentone and myself!). There are always expecting to the rule as in Dosai case who's double story build has flown. In my opinion unless something huge happens (they don't have your bricks for 3 months) and the fact that they have started I think you will well and truly be in before Xmas! Good luck with your build and keep up updated! Like all of us the pre sight stage was a very long process .. our was about 14 weeks from signing contract to sight start. But once on sight things do happen quickly til you reach fixing stage which then tends to slow down. We are building a 40 sq custom double storey - was on sight on 16/01/2014 and was told expected completion date of 20/12/2014 (330 days build time) but the house seem to be 98% completed, sight cage was removed at week 29. we are now just waiting for the PCI insepction to be booked So looking at other burbank single storey build on this forum, they are all less than 20 weeks.. So like Dsbuild says you should be in before xmas Let us know if there anything else you need to know : Sorry Dosai22 we bombing yourthread again Burbank Custom DS 23/01 Slab 14/02 Frame 15/04 Lockup 13/06 Fixing 02/09 PCI 11/09 Settlement My Build:viewtopic.php?f=31&t=68855 Blog:http://ourmentone3850.blogspot.com.au Re: Burbank Home in Eynesbury 98Aug 25, 2014 4:37 pm great news dosai22, Wishing you all the best and hope things goes as per plan...!
