Hello...
Been a lurker on this forum for ages...
We've been looking to do a custom (architect designed) build but just waiting for a quote... but getting worried it will be way over our budget so thought we'd investigate project homes. Anyway there is a design that takes a lot of the design principles that our architect came up with and we really like. It's the Sekisui Sade.
For our block it will take advantage of rear views and a northern courtyard (mirror the floorplan).
Based on the feedback I've been reading... it's not looking great for Sekisui but at the same time I'm assuming most people complain louder than they praise... so I'm hoping for some good experiences as well as cautionary ones. More importantly are there recent experiences?
We visited the Gledswood Hills Living Design Centre and are planning a visit there next week to price it up if that makes a difference. We've allowed over $100k over the base price. (including site costs and demolition). Will that be enough? (Based on a base price < $200k).
TIA for any advice.
