yep, as mirz said brick upgrades can get really pricey. When we looked at cat 5 bricks, for our 23 sq house it was going to be over $5000, mind you this was when they used Boral.... it may be different pricing for Austral...

Category 5 and also slim bricks would cost around $8k (in my opinion).
For 48 sq house it would be around 20,000 bricks.

Did you check Daniel Robertson hawthorn or Cambridge blends bricks? They look pretty a awesome too but not sure if PD builds with Daniel Robertson bricks.

IMO , 8k extra for 1 side of brick is a bit too dear

Unfortunatly, pd only use astral brick I think

I don't think PD gives you option to marble benchtop upgrade.

It would be cheaper to take credit back and organize through a stone mason post handover.

if its $10k facade upgrade to Hyde Park including hawksburn category 5 bricks, sounds reasonable.

hope its not 10k just for bricks?

No , the hyde park total I think is extra 26k, 12k for facade, 14 k for brick. We are comparing with sterling facade + Hebel , which is 16k in total (10+ 6), so basically 10 k difference between this 2 facade choices

Btw, not sure if using normal 76mm brick will create the same effect ?( I think the front are slim brick)

That's terrible, lol.

I wasn't into bricks initially and thought why people wasting a much on bricks upgrades. Now after searching and looking at nice bricks, can feel their pain :-)

Also, anyone doing the timber flooring with PD? we have seen their "Artesan collection" timber floor in Hoperturn , they looks nice. anyone know how much PD charge to do that?

Scott, that isnt timber, it's actually laminate. We upgraded to timber on a 24 sq house, it was around 13 k

Hi Meowsy, u mean u upgraded to prefinished engineered floating floor, right? Or to the raw timber plank which need be layed/sand/polish/oiled?

As I know , the real solid timber floor - later option will be around 130/Sqm

We got a 1 year old who likes smashing floor. So do not mind laminate.

the atesan range looks / feel really like real timber but without any maintainence required for real timber.

Also we like the 190mm wide board , it could be better if it is longer so less joints.

we know Arteson range is more expensive than Bolero, if PD charge $50/Sqm
Or less will sound attractive to us
