Happy at Home Re: PD lifestyle are overhead cupboards standard? 17Sep 12, 2008 8:34 am Yes you are right you have to think of everything but I dont think it should be that way, We did do a walk through but it was one of the many things that were never pointed out to us.
Thank goodness for this forum I say. Re: PD lifestyle are overhead cupboards standard? 18Sep 12, 2008 8:59 am Southies - don't be silly!
Credit for anything you change, hahaha! Rule no 1- whatever you change will be considered an upgrade, even if logic tells you it must cost less We got a few prices removed but only because we removed the item altogether - they can hardly charge you for not haveing anything! (for example, our house/land package included front landscaping which we removed so we can do it ourselves) Re: PD lifestyle are overhead cupboards standard? 19Sep 12, 2008 9:12 am gosh, this topic brings back bad memories! hehehe....
we're building with PD too...and our promo had included the slide out rangehood and over head cabinets... we didnt want the slide out and opted for the actual canopy rangehood, and our sales rep said that would be fine because the slide out costed more... anyway, fast forward to the contract and we noticed that the overhead cabinets weren't in the drawings!!! long story short, because the promo said "slide out range hood with overhead cabinets" we weren't entitled to the overhead cabinets because we were getting the canopy rangehood.. cos i'm too soft, i couldnt be bothered arguing...so we paid to get it upgraded....it costs us $737 for two cabinets either side of the rangehood...grrrr anywya, good luck penny! everyone's pricing seems to be around the same, so at least u know how much it will cost u, if u decide to upgrade Re: PD lifestyle are overhead cupboards standard? 20Sep 12, 2008 9:23 am Newbies we didnt want the slide out and opted for the actual canopy rangehood, and our sales rep said that would be fine because the slide out costed more... Just to clarify this, the canopy rangehoods are more expensive, BUT the slide out with overheads is more expensive. They always include overheads with a slideout, because it has to have them. But the canopy is just the canopy. So in order of price from cheapest: Slideout rangehood Canopy rangehood Slideout with overheads (two cupboards above the rangehood). Because the slideouts must have overheads, they end up working out more expensive. That's what your rep would have meant Newbies, the slideout cost more cos it included the overheads, so you get a credit, but then have to pay for different overheads to suit the canopy all on the sides. So the price is the difference. Does that make sense? But still a rip off. Same with Southies, it's probably considered an upgrade because you removed the canopy but then replaced with slide out with cupboards above it. Thus the upgrade. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Hi, Can anyone give me approx. price for overhead cupboards. TIA 0 16829 Bigger the better for storage for me IMO. But I guess it's harder to tell the cost/benefit in your example - mainly the 'cost'? If you go 700mm, what are you doing extra… 2 3064 I am looking at replacing some overhead power cable and I am trying to work out what gauge of cable this is so I can price it. The outer edge of the sheath has a diameter… 0 313 |
