Well, while at the Home Show we checked out the Clipsal stand. Of course there was the C-Bus systems...(wipe drool), but we also spotted a brand new, not yet released range of switches/outlets that we, actually, i would love to have in the house!!!!! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Its called The Saturn 4000 series...they are glass backed illuminated switches that will work in conjunction with a C-bus system or without. They come in different colour glass and are the nicest looking switches around IMO! No pricing available as yet, but I just love them...even as feature switches in the main areas of the house would be great for me. If so, how much were they???? Re: New range from Clipsal! 2Mar 31, 2008 2:32 pm PD showed us those when we did our electrical selections. At that stage they had samples and were doing a survey on what the preferred "look' was. It is interesting to see what Clipsal finally went with.
They look pretty flash don't they Re: New range from Clipsal! 3Mar 31, 2008 2:41 pm oh my, those look yummo!
if only they had that back when! [sneakersss] Re: New range from Clipsal! 4Mar 31, 2008 2:44 pm LOL yes they are very nice.
They are as easy to install as a standard light switch too. Even though we've already upgraded our switches and it's too late to change...AGAIN!!! we're going to look at buying them and installing them in the main areas after handover....hopefully they don't cost the earth??? Re: New range from Clipsal! 5Mar 31, 2008 2:46 pm **Phoenix** They are as easy to install as a standard light switch too. Err...you don't need a sparky? Re: New range from Clipsal! 9Mar 31, 2008 3:11 pm stonecutter1309 I wonder how much extra power the illumination uses. who cares when they look this good Re: New range from Clipsal! 10Mar 31, 2008 3:24 pm Heres the brochure if anyone is interested:

Thats it! I am going to tell my builder that I have selected the light switches and leave it at that Mrs B Re: New range from Clipsal! 17Mar 31, 2008 8:30 pm Take a look at the Saturn switch in mid-brown. Doesn't sound appealing, but you have to see it first.
Go to: http://www3.clipsal.com/cis/portal/ Then click: residential comfort Your Controls Saturn and then look at the colours. These are the colours for the c-bus switches, but if you like the colour, there's a interesting option open to you. Demolition August 2009, Construction Started September 2009, Completed December 2010 Re: New range from Clipsal! 18Apr 01, 2008 8:57 am The Ocean Mist light switches have been available for over a year now, because we were looking at them before doing our selections. It was our understanding though, that they were only available with the C-Bus system, but after seeing the display and talking to the Clipsal guy, the powerpoints, dimmers and data sockets are brand new (just released) and the Expresso colour is new too. Yes, they are now able to be used with or without the C-Bus (which when we got a quote for $15K plus installation turned us RIGHT off!), but at about $50 per switch plate or double powerpoint they are a much more reasonable and sleek option. I think if they had them for sale at the stall DH would have bought them on the spot!
I've loved these all along and now it looks like I may eventually get them!!! Ray. Second Time 'Round Re: New range from Clipsal! 19Apr 01, 2008 10:50 am Ok we've decided which ones are going where in the house... I've got my list of what i want.......now all i need is pricing!!!!
A question for Matt/Rod: In our theatre, we are thinking of going with the espresso black outlets for the visible outlets, sockets and light switch. With the side wall plate for our sub, do you think we can fit the appropriate plugs into one of these outlets??? Just a thought....instead of the std wall plates??? Re: New range from Clipsal! 20Apr 01, 2008 10:56 am P,
There is no reason (other than quality) that we can't use an ethernet socket to run your subwoofer if thats what you really want. We could also use a single GPO socket also and just wire the subwoofer to a black plug. Or you could just buy a spray can and paint the wall plates befroe we put them on! This would be a lot cheaper and just as effective IMO! A person needs to be licensed to offer financial advice.
