Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1861Nov 13, 2015 11:45 am I didn't want the retaining wall even tho we needed it as in my head I didn't really get how it was going to look but now that it is in I like it! Now that it is in we can plan our front yard at least, most likely going to go with artificial turf as the area is so small and some garden beds, no idea what to do with all of the verge space we have! Thanks for the link Mal Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1862Nov 13, 2015 4:19 pm We were updated today and it was positive! About 80% of our trades are booked in now with the others being followed up, it is likely we will have PCI on the 23rd of November and then second PCI on the 30th November giving them 5 working day between, with keys being the 30th too, this was my suggestion as I felt the 25th despite us really needing the keys then, is too much of a push and I don't want trades rushing and making more mistakes, luckily our painter should be given access on the 25th still so we won't lose too much time. Our new SS is a champion taking on this giant mess and sorting it out as best as he can, I know he is putting a lot of after hours time into our house and is even going there on Sunday with his son to do whatever he can personally do to speed it up. He is an asset to their company and I hope for their sake he sticks around. Not to mention he is the only one who has acknowledged just how poor Wednesday was and apologised. And yes, the new Area Manager is a champion and doing his best to speed everyone's build up. I hope Ben appreciates him and doesn't burn him out completely. At least they are giving you a plan. Fingers crossed for plain sailing from here xx Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Keys 30th...? 1878Nov 17, 2015 10:23 am Hey Archetto, I frequently think about your place and wonder how it's going. Sorry again for not being around. I have been so busy and then changed phone companies a few times and couldn't log into silly tapatalk for a while! Either way disappointed to see Ben Trager has been so average! I love their homes but to note how long things have taken and the issues you have had due to incompetent supervisors - it's sad. Positive is now you have your dates and I am super excited for you. I can't wait to see you move in and set up as all the excitement of decorating is going to come in full swing! House is looking lovely though, it's super grand from the front, love it!! Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Keys 30th...? 1879Nov 17, 2015 1:45 pm Thanks Justin and thanks for checking back in, come back in a month and hopefully it will be looking like a house and not a construction site I can't wait to share my moved in photos with everyone! It is going to be one stunning home "Losers" "humanity" "off time" "your" "top notch" "love symbol" Sounds like ponzo is done using other people's toilets 36 24893 Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 19601 |
