Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Apr 02, 2024 3:30 pm Hey all Currently renovating our laundry, bought a new washing machine but have found that the drainage hose is alot shorter than the old machine (which I used to get the placements of everything beforehand) Have bought an extension kit... but now it's WAY too long. I see that I would have three issues but I'm not sure the best way to go 1 - just connect it and loop the new hose 2 - cut the new hose and super glue the rubberised end back on the shorter length 3 - remove the original hose (not sure how exactly on a Fisher and Paykel as I think it requires removing the entire back of the machine, which I'm already stacked with the dryer so would prefer not to) Any suggestions? My concerns are that if I just loop the hose, it will cause stagnant water to collect but also if I cut the new hose, I won't actually be able to glue the rubber end back on Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Ask for some kickplate to be added and also for tradies to be requested to use lanyards on tools on that side of the building.
