Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Sep 06, 2015 5:41 am Does anyone have? What's the quality of this product? The sink and tap I want may be out of budget, although I do sort of think it's not something you change so spend there.. Anyway if it turns out to be the case our joiner can supply an Abey Lago sink and tap package for around $700, much less than through Reece. Our sink isn't on the island bench or prominent so provided it's a nice contemporary tap that works well and feels solid I am on with that. It's a double bowl sink though I must admit I love the Franke planar.. Re: Abey sinks and taps 2Sep 06, 2015 9:49 am I like the Abey sinks and Barazza Sinks they have. For the one I liked it had square drain holes and was advised against as it was difficult to clean. Settled on the Franke Planar as it looks square but has enough radius to make it easy to clean and a normal drain hole. I think my sink and tap combo was about $1,700 but I went on the same principle that you only change these things when the kitchen gets remodelled. Abey sinks and taps 3Sep 06, 2015 12:34 pm I will definitely check the drain hole. Yes I love the tap you used but we're already looking at going quite a bit over PC on plumbing.. Augh! But as you say the sink isn't replaced.. I can't decide! Ok just checked.. the sink itself doesn't seem like it's too bad quality though it's not a franke. It fits what we've gone for which is "squarish roundish" and looks like it has a round waste.. Cheers Mark Re: Abey sinks and taps 6Sep 06, 2015 9:42 pm I have the Abey Lago double bowl. No problems here. Easy to clean. I liked its 'square & rounded' look. I got the package with the pull out rounded tap, chopping board, drain board and colander inserts. I'm using the tap though in my walk-in-pantry (I wanted black on my kitchen tap, went with Abey for this also). Only issue is it only came with 1 pop up plug. I have been meaning to flow this up! Abey sinks and taps 7Sep 07, 2015 5:56 am Thanks for the feedback! Yes that must be the same package, what is the tap like just standard? I can't find a picture f it.. Could it be used as a laundry tap or is it too small? (bearing in mine I'm definitely more the throw it in the machine type :p) Re: Abey sinks and taps 8Sep 07, 2015 12:30 pm The tap isn't their 'standard' tap. It is a goose neck pull out. It think it is this one- http://www.abey.com.au/store/sinks/kitc ... ull-mixer/ My package had the colander and I paid $899. Nothing wrong with the tap, works fine, looks good. I just wanted black on my kitchen tap Thanks! These are the options we've been given for the mixer. I've been leaning towards the sk3 if I do go this package though j also like the one with the horizontal lever. It's similar to our bathroom mixers. I also see the idea you had of using it in the laundry and getting the tap of my choice in the kitchen.. It is a 'goose neck' Our bathrooms have a similar mixer to the handle on the SK3 also. Re: Abey sinks and taps 11Sep 07, 2015 4:03 pm Yep I've seen the goose neck one it's nice too. I think the sk3 will go with the "squarish roudish" idea ️ 2 21990 Bathroom renovation will likely include a back-to-corner bath and we’re considering a freestanding tap with hand-held shower such as the picture included.
