Water has been leaking into my room through a crack in the foundation slab after this heavy rain. I've been looking at waterproofing the foundation but I don't think I have the technical skill to pull it off. I feel I can change the pvc down spout/ elbow connection. But the side of the house is not properly draining the soil effectively. Maybe I should airate the soil or amend it. Make a french drain down the fence line. Place a perforated pipe on top of the aggregate. Fill up the trench with more aggregate and make sure it is compact (Careful not to crush the pipe!)
